Following the success of the Goodtime banjo, customers requested a version with a resonator for enhanced volume and projection. Deering, known for its customer focus, introduced the Goodtime Two in 1999. It shares similarities with the Goodtime Openback, boasting a natural blonde maple body with a satin finish. The 3-ply violin-grade maple rim, paired with a 3-ply resonator, produces a rich, golden tone and amplifies sound significantly. The resonator reflects sound forward, unlike the openback counterpart where sound is absorbed by the body. Weighing around 6 lbs, it's as portable as a guitar. If you seek an affordable, durable, and playable bluegrass banjo for travel, the Goodtime Two is an excellent choice. Crafted in San Diego, CA, with a focus on playability, tone, and affordability.
